Project Overview:
Helix is a personalized wellness app that combines genetic data with daily habit tracking. We designed the mobile application interface and the accompanying brand identity, focusing on making complex health data feel approachable, friendly, and actionable.




The Challenge:
Health data is often overwhelming and dry. The main friction point was user engagement; people would download the app but stop checking it after a week because the charts were confusing and the tone was too clinical.


The Solution:
We pivoted the visual direction from "Medical" to "Lifestyle." We used a soft, organic color palette (Sage, Clay, and Sand) and rounded typography to create a calming effect. We gamified the data visualization, turning complex metrics into simple rings and progress bars that reward the user with satisfying animations upon completion.

Helix saw a massive spike in Daily Active Users (DAU). The app reached the Top 10 in the Health & Fitness category on the App Store within two months of the redesign. Users reported that the app felt "encouraging" rather than "demanding."
